This group can be used as a network for those affected by COVID-19: whether you are stuck at home in need of assistance, looking for work, need childcare, etc, let’s come together and pool our resources to help one another in this time of crisis. The LIVOAD is a program housed within the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island (HWCLI) and funded by PSEG Long Island. Following the National VOAD model, our emphasis is on promoting communication, cooperation, collaboration and coordination (the 4 C's). Suffolk County residents can now get free testing for COVID-19 at Stony Brook University at a drive-thru coronavirus testing facility that opened yesterday. The mobile testing site has six lanes to accommodate up to 1,000 tests per day. It will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Appointments are required. To make an appointment, call the State Coronavirus Hotline 24/7 at 1-888-364-3065.
